LATIN AMERICA AND CARIBBEAN REGIONAL SUMMIT ON DISABILITIES - 2024

The 2024 Latin American and Caribbean Regional Summit on Disability, which will take place from December 9 to 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, represents a key opportunity to address the challenges and opportunities faced by persons with disabilities in the region. Organized by RIADIS in collaboration with the International Disability Alliance and key stakeholders, this event seeks to consolidate a unified voice in preparation for the 2025 World Summit on Disability.

The central objective of the summit is to promote inclusion, the development of inclusive public policies and the active participation of persons with disabilities in society. The structure of the event is designed to facilitate a constructive dialogue between representatives of governments, civil society, the private sector and organizations of persons with disabilities.

The 2024 Summit will serve as a platform to generate concrete commitments that strengthen inclusion in the region, aligned with the principles of equality, dignity and human rights established by the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
